QUANTUM: Operator Certification

All Transit Bus Operators who will be operating QUANTUM, Road Supervisors and Safety Trainers at transportation agencies who use the QUANTUM on their fleet.

This on-demand, interactive course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the QUANTUM Rearward Facing Securement Station. Through two lessons, students will understand the concept behind the QUANTUM and the advantages it offers operators as well as their passengers, how to operate the QUANTUM to safely secure a passenger in a mobility device, as well as basic troubleshooting. Each lesson concludes with a quiz, highlighting levels of competence.

Supervisors will be able to track their students’ progress and see which topics require more attention. This training course is strongly recommended for all Bus Operators using the QUANTUM. Safety trainers, road supervisors, and maintenance personnel will also benefit from the course.

Students who complete the course receive a Certificate of Completion valid for one year.

After completing the QUANTUM OPERATOR CERTIFICATION COURSE, students will be able to:

• Understand how the QUANTUM operates.
• Comprehend the benefits of the QUANTUM for the operator, agency, and passenger.
• Effectively secure and de-board a passenger with a mobility device using the QUANTUM.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting if they encounter an issue in operating the QUANTUM.
• Explain the safety benefits of rearward facing securement to mobility passengers.

Approximately 35 minutes to complete.

Pass the quiz at the end of each of the two lessons with a score of 75% or better.
