Helpful Tips
Inviting Students
- To add a student click the ‘Add Student’ button under the Enrolled Student section.
- When registering a student, click the ‘add and invite user’ button at the top of the form and enter their name, e-mail address, and password. If you don’t create a password for a student with an e-mail address they will receive a manually generated password via e-mail. Alternatively, if you don’t want to register a student using their e-mail address you can create a unique username for a student. Simply unclick the “User has an e-mail” box and create a unique username for the student and a password. NOTE: Make sure to remember the password you set for the student as you will need to provide them with their username and password to log-in to the course. TIP: Use the same password for all students in your group.
- To upload a large group of students at one time click on the ‘upload users’ tab under the Enrolled Students section. Check the “Add and Invite Users” box and then check then check or uncheck the “Users have an e-mail” box depending on whether you want to use e-mails or create usernames for your students. You can set the password for everyone you upload by entering in the textbox. Then download the sample .csv file. Enter the required information for each student carefully following the sample format, save the list in .csv format, and then upload the file.
- If the student already has a Q’STRAINT registered account, you will receive a response telling you that the email already belongs to a user. To continue to add the user to this group, click select “Add Existing User” button and resubmit. If you created a username for a student and was already taken, you’ll receive a notification to create a different user name.
- After submitting a student’s information, you will be notified that a student has been added to the group . If you entered a student’s e-mail address they will receive their invitation to the course and log-in instructions via e-mail. If you created a unique username and password for the student, instruct them to visit the Training Aqademy homepage (https://training .qstraint.com) to log-in to the course.
- What happens if you enter an incorrect e-mail address for a student? No problem. You can remove them from the group and invite them using the corrected e-mail without losing the seat you’ve purchased under the ‘Enrolled Student’ heading.
- What happens if I created a password for a student and I can’t remember what it is? If the student hasn’t started the course, simply remove them from the course and reenroll them using the instructions above taking care to remember the password you set. If the student has already started the course and forgot their password, contact us to have their password reset at [email protected]. We will do our best to respond to your request in a timely manner.

Adding Courses
- From this group management page, you can purchase additional training courses for your group to take as they become available.
- Click the ‘Buy Course Licenses” and create a name for this new course group and select number of seats you’d like to purchase in the course.
- NOTE: We recommend naming your groups by years. Since some courses offer certifications that are valid for a fix period, for example the Securement 101 certification is valid for two years, naming your groups by years will make it easy to figure out when a student need to be recertified.
